Budding Passion Fruit

They’re apart together. They’re lovers forbidden: a priest with a spirit from the past, a painter’s secret, and the young professional whose unorthodox love tangles with the others. Defying conventions in plot and performance this aesthetically intimate musical tenderly touches taboos between riotously hilarious moments.
For the last 6 weeks I have been directing/producing Passion Fruit: an original one-act musical. Avant Garde meets Bollywood cheese in this twisted love tale that will be performed in 3 Bangalore venues in late March.

For this project I'm collaborating with Board Stiff Productions, from Srishti School of Art, Design, and Technology, who have a four-year history of staging dynamic theatre in Bangalore.
“I know how crimson excites you on days when things haven't seemed so clear. The violet streaks on scarlet, you put your trickling veins to paper. There, the painting is complete.”
