It was Passion Fruit with the flavor of an encore performance by Bored Stiff Productions of Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology. I had the honor of collaborating with the young cast who wrote, choregraphed, and performed this original musical.
The play debuted on World Theatre Day, Saturday the 27th of March 2010. Starting with a love song in Kannada and culminated with firedancing to a Hip Hop Mash-up, this eclectic show had something for everyone, if not everything for someone. Check out what Marianne de Nazareth wrote about the food and the after party in her blog, The Climate is Changing.
The second and final performance was at Srishti School of Art, Design and Technology on Monday the 29th of March 2010. The mostly student audience whistled and cheered for their peers. I have no doubt Pasion Fruit will be remembered as a cult classic amongst the student body.
